Obiekt Document reprezentuje cały dokument XML.
Obiekt dokumentu XML
Obiekt Document jest korzeniem drzewa dokumentów XML i daje nam podstawowy dostęp do danych dokumentu.
Ponieważ węzły elementów, węzły tekstowe, komentarze, instrukcje przetwarzania itp. nie mogą istnieć poza dokumentem, obiekt Document zawiera również metody do tworzenia tych obiektów. Obiekty Node mają właściwość ownerDocument, która kojarzy je z dokumentem, w którym zostały utworzone.

Właściwości obiektu DocumentType
Każdy dokument ma atrybut DOCTYPE, którego wartość to null lub obiekt DocumentType.
Obiekt DocumentType zapewnia interfejs do jednostek zdefiniowanych dla dokumentu XML.
